Introducing Studio News!

It’s official!

GCS has launched it’s

formal platform and branding!

It’s been a long time in the works, but it’s finally here. Thomas has labored under unofficial titles and uncredited work for quite some time, and I can’t say how much I respect his lack of ego when tackling these big projects. But with some encouragement to take well-deserved pride in his work, he’s now stepping into new avenues towards growth and recognition for all the skills and talent he’s cultivated over his half-decade in this industry.

I’m glad he’ll let me brag on him for a minute, so that we can introduce GCS without letting him minimize his prior accomplishments. Artists are always their own biggest critics, which is why I’ve stepped into a support role at GCS: to help him take full advantage of all of these incredible opportunities.

What opportunities are these? You’ll have already read about the typical GCS services, but that really doesn’t do justice to the magnitude and impact of Thomas’ past and future projects. Thomas has already completed multiple major film projects and contract work, including his feature-length documentary on behalf of the Center for Christian Nonviolence. He has multiple major ongoing projects with the Center for Christian Nonviolence, as well as the Madonna del Pozzo Society of Chicago.

Event Coverage allows Thomas to take part in some of the biggest moments of people’s lives. These are not just clients, these are friends and family and community members who have trusted Thomas with making a permanent record of emotional milestones. That trust is not something Thomas takes lightly, and he knows that these events are the core of GCS. Personal and community connections are his number one priority, and corporate or creative projects don’t always have the same impact and meaning for our lives. On Thomas’ behalf, thank you all for sharing your beautiful moments and thank you for your continued support of his involvement in these events.

Business Boost projects are an entirely different type of task, but one that has been the most interesting to me to observe. Thomas has an extremely perceptive eye for intentionality in professional materials, and has really enjoyed engaging with these companies to further their reach and do justice to the services they provide. I think there might be a perception that corporate projects are less meaningful than personal ones, but truthfully it’s a huge credit to Thomas that he’s consistently collaborated with organizations that have really grounded purpose and genuinely amazing staff. It’s been a blessing to see his business-centered projects elevate all you hardworking folks in the way you deserve.

Storytelling, however, is where Thomas and I first shared our deeply felt interests, and is where we continue to aspire to drive GCS productions. We are both compelled by the stories of characters – real and imaginary – and the value that these stories contribute to our everyday lives. Thomas has been honored to be able to share stories about beloved leaders and communities that have touched his life, and looks forward to continuing those efforts in particular. We both believe there is a rich history and infinite potential in every space around us. With the tools and skills Thomas is wielding through GCS, we both hope to really capture the spirit of these people and places which so inspire us.

Thank you to all of Thomas’ clients and colleagues who have led him to this point. He’s thrilled to be able to pursue more of these projects, and I’m thrilled to be along side him in this support role. GCS wouldn’t exist without you.

Cheers to a new era!
